Assessment Centres

  • BT - Designing and running an assessment centre for over 70 procurement specialists to assess against "World Class 2010" standards for roles within the new structure. Coaching and PDP support were also provided and plans for a tailored development programme are in place.
  • Norfolk County Council - Delivering an assessment centre programme to their Adult Social Services department as part of a restructure.

  • BT - Designing and managing an ongoing development centre to assess the talent pool at Finance Manager level.

Sales Support

  • BT:
    • Individual coaching for Sales Managers to support career and personal development.
    • Team building events including MBTI and the alignment of skills and expertise with the achievement of objectives and targets.
    • Gaining and utilising an understanding of how the BT Network Finance proposition is used as a sales aid by the dealer network.
    • Working with managers and operators to identify areas of unlocked potential and improve service to internal and external customers.
    • Improving productivity of the Retail Contract Rentals division by reviewing sales processes and recommending areas for improvement, which were successfully implemented by the client.
  • ADP - Conducted a three stage review of the structure, processes and people in the sales department of this fast-growing company to improve efficiency and facilitate further growth.

Sales Training

  • ADP - Comprehensive sales training programme for senior members of the management team, followed immediately by a sales team training programme. Post course feedback was extremely positive so it was agreed to extend the programme to other areas of the ADP business. This has now resulted in a Europe-wide sales training programme - in-country, in-language across 12 countries.

  • BT:

    • Designing and implementing an internal Partnership Relationship Management programme to support the 21st Century Procurement Project.
    • Research project to report on the future direction of the company's Procurement department.

  • BT - Updating call centre processes in the Retail Home Computing department, in order to support substantial workload increases.
  • Legal & General - Delivering DMAIC and CAP methodology training to rectify organisational problems, and providing a fresh approach to business projects.
  • Norfolk County Council - Delivering an impact course to improve productive use of email.

Introduction to Management

  • Alcatel-Lucent - Leadership programme for technical leaders who manage remotely and third party suppliers. The programme focused on equipping team leaders with practical tools and techniques to help them develop and get the best out of their teams. Topics included coaching, team-building, dealing with difficult conversations and giving developmental feedback. The programme was so well received that Cordoba was commissioned to deliver a further two programmes.

Recruitment Process

  • BT - Managing a uniquely structured nine-month MBA assessment and recruitment campaign, resulting in the appointment of 20 MBAs. The success of the campaign led to a further assignment to assess and recruit another 30 MBAs.
  • Oxfordshire County Council - Researching best practice recruitment within the public sector and benchmarking this against the private sector. Cordoba's research became part of the reason why the Council then implemented a shared service centre. Following this success, Cordoba was commissioned to design and manage a recruitment assessment process for the Head of Shared Services including assessment centre design, psychometric testing and competency design.

Change

  • Legal & General:
    • Change Acceptance Programme (CAP) training for an IT team engaged in implementing a major IT initiative. The primary focus was on stakeholder analysis, shaping the vision and the development of an influencing strategy. As a result, Cordoba was invited to facilitate progress with both the IT project team and Operations management.
    • Delivering Change Acceptance Programme training to the team handling the company's "Get Fit for Growth" initiative. Subsequently engaged to deliver training to Operations teams involved in or affected by the changes, with a view to creating a common understanding of and commitment to the change methodology.
  • Vodafone - Change Acceptance Programme training for Vodafone's Quality Team to supplement their technical and process change skills with people "acceptance" skills. Having witnessed a step change in the commitment of its people to change, Vodafone has adopted the CAP programme and uses Cordoba to train its 6-Sigma "Black Belt" community so that future change success is assured.
  • Southwark Borough Council - Delivering Change Acceptance Programme training which led to the outsourcing of their customer services to Pearson.
  • Wycombe District Council - Working with the CEO and Senior Management team to take them through a strategic change process.
  • The London Borough of Southwark - Working with the Workforce Reform Committee to identify what was required of the new Children's Services HR function in the light of The Children's Act and "Every Child Matters". Corboda then delivered training to the new integrated team, which was so successful the Council asked Cordoba to design a series of HR programmes for their Early Years Centres.
